Pastry tradition


Simple and complex at the same time, pastry
has multiple stories that tell its origin. Its birth
is inaccuracy known but we know it was in
50s when its confectionery reputation started
to hatch in Torrelavega, specially its pastry.

technique made possible linking this fne
mass name to the city what made the young
Luis Santos Fernández who, at the short
age of eleven years old, began knowing the
best secrets working as confectioner during Paciencias
67 years. His good hand and his unstoppable
tenacity on business was transferred from
father to son making his descendent, Luis
Santos San Miguel, a famous confectioner
who contributed to keep alive the prestige
and the company image. Currently, Santos
dynasty is still writing its history and is the
third generation, Luis Santos Erquicia, who
every day gives himself to this trade begun by
his grandfather.
